Hello

My story so far... The short version.
I live in Ayr, Scotland with my beautiful girlfriend, Stephanie. We have a tank-full of fish, a dog named Bella and currently no children.
I've been drawing since the day I learned to hold a pencil. At school I was often found doodling when I should have been writing sums in my maths jotter or practising the alphabet.
As I was growing up, drawing remained a pass-time. Friends and family would tell me I had a talent and I should pursue a career in the subject but I always lacked the confidence to take it any further, fearing I wasn't good enough.
It wasn't until I left secondary school that I decided to take a step in that direction.
I studied art and graphics at Ayr college between 2001 and 2003.
After leaving college I held various jobs to pay the bills while I quietly developed my pencil skills at home.
I moved to a bigger house in 2010 and the bulk of my time since then has been spent building my studio, taking on commissions to gain a local reputation and creating my website.
I am eternally grateful to Stephanie for her patience and support over the past few years. I haven't been the easiest to put up with. Her encouragement has helped me get to where I am now and I start this new chapter in my career with peace of mind knowing that she's by my side.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you soon.
John Fisher, 2015, Ayr.
